Just to put a pin in the thread in case anyone is following, Mason and Cariss in particular has been great to work with throughout - they're sending out a newer style swan neck that doesn't require the plastic sleeve at all, which I think solves the issue. Bingo. Thanks trefoyl. It was likely defective and finally cracked completely. It looks like I can't post an image here yet, possibly due to low post count. But you nailed it. Per my earlier comment, the faucet is too small for a 1/2" ID hose, so it appears the sleeve is a necessity. I've contacted ...
