On the boil over,at those levels you may have prevented it if you had held back the final runnings, say 2 litres, let the rest boil and evaporate a bit then drip the final running back in over time to not drop the boil too much. I'm looking to brew a beer that the Cornish of the past would have enjoyed but we can no more.
Does anyone have any memories of anything they wish was still around and, perhaps, more poignantly, a recipe?

My guess is they either forgot to add primer to their feeder tank when bottling or didn't mix it well enough and you got the bottles with no primer. Doesn't explain filling to the cap though, that's amateur. I'd take them back and explain your experience to help them fix the problems before they bui...

Sorry but the taste is very very unlikely to change over time. Sounds like insufficient rinsing or over supply of cleanser. Either way, once it's in there...

Think at 1014 you'd have to do some pretty heavy rousing to worry about reintroducing the cake into suspension. My experience suggests you'd probably just move a bit about a bit which as you say may helpfully drag some of the hop mess down with it anyway. To be honest, I reckon that 175g in 19 litre...
