Have to agree,
Too much faffing about a grand for the canning machine with a duo can filler!
I can probably fill and cap 2-3 500 ml bottles in the time it takes to fill and seam one can and then the machine flicks beer all over your upper body.

I'm not about to kick my Tilt Pi into touch. It churns out all those irreplaceable pretty graphs and displays.

Re: Braumeister or Brewtools??
Personally i think the Brewtools equipment is grossly overpriced plus they use their own size (34mm) tri-clamp fittings instead of the industry standard 1.5" why ? :!: so you cannot even use the standard 1.5" ones. So for example you buy a B80 for 2 grand and then have to spend another grand on the ...

Re: Just changing brewing method
I converted a 15 gallon Ss Brewtech standard kettle to electric operation- i used compression 1.5" tri-clamp adaptors-and also used various Q-max hole punches (small pilot hole required) much easier and less swarf than drilling the complete hole. :-D Well pleased with the results. Ss Brewtech E-Kettle
Just bought an Ss Brewtech 10 Gallon E-Kettle (EU version) but a UK supplier. Contrary to what they say on the Ss Brewtech website you do not need to use their own very expensive econtroller and i used the existing Ss Brewtech C19 heater male socket and 3.5mm PT100 probe connections and made up my o...

Re: Panel Build
The Inkbird pid controllers and ssr’s and Inkbird timer have arrived, rough layout on the panel. Large heatsink at top of photo is to be mounted on the top of the panel (Hole to be cut) and ssr’s fitted to it with thermal compound. Time to start cutting holes! E787DDA9-F7B6-42BE-8AAF-9A760...

Re: Panel Build
Was looking at getting the Inkbird-ITC100VH-K with 40A SSR’S + pt100 probes.
Has anyone used the Berme or Rex pid’s? they are about 1/3 of the price of the Inkbirds.
Unsure quality wise on the cheaper alternatives.
