London Pride has to be in the running somewhere.

If I manage to get the new telly connected up and working on Sunday may have another go at DaaBs version.

That will be f..l.p. no. 5. ( 3x DL's and 2x Daab's)

I use both depends on how the mood takes me but they do seem quicker in getting to you and always v. fair on delivery cost.

Yup, that's how I started out. Did 2 and was hooked.

Wouldn't be condensation would it?

Where do you store your keg?

The temps. are all over the place at the moment.

I've noticed wet surfaces on some of my tools in the garage and have been quickley putting them away.

Thanks subsub, i'll be going with light crystal.
Thinks the the amount of crystal stated in the recipe will make it way to dark a beer.
Wondering if i'll still get somewhere near the taste and flavour from this change though as never used light crystal before.

Great pics.

Interesting that nearly all of the hop seed is around the perimeter of the hop bed. Mine seem to disperse overall.

What type of manifold do you use?

Galvenised fermenters

Hello all, it may be a silly question but can the wort be fermented in galvanised containers without picking up some off flavours. I've access to 1 mtr. lengths of new 18 inch diameter seamless ducting tube and an expert welder. Might try and make a conical fermenter in the material is suitable. Any...

Tried secondary and there seems no point. I've done 3 T.C.'s and it's better to bottle a.s.a.p. It will clear that much quicker in the bottle under pressure. The brew I put into secondary just sat there and done nothing. When botteling I added a 1/4 teaspoon of glucose to each bottle and with in a w...

I found I didn't need to reduce the line length or increase the diameter. Just reduce the pressure and be patient and I found that it poured at an acceptable rate. Tilting and wetting the glass to accomodate the flow to achieve the perfect pint is all part of the learning curve.

Had the same problem myself recently, there is quite a lot on the forum about this subject. Basically I took DaaBs advice and vented the cornie via the P.R.V. and used the co2 in the beer to discharge it's self with the regulator turned off. When the flow reduced to an unacceptable level I turned th...

You won't be dissapointed with that Steve. I've got one and have a copper manifold with a bottom entry, then out to a 15mm full bore valve. Mine didn't come with a tap and to allow the pipework to run underneath i've had 3 short legs welded on. Works for me, and all the advantages of twin walled ins...
