Re: Yeast the culprit for murky beer?
Do you use a lot of hops in your brews? Hop forward beers do struggle to clear. At certain low temperatures you can experience chill haze.
Also how long are these beers being left and how are you conditioning them and serving them.

Re: Broken my sight glass...
Just seen this hopefully not to late. I have a brew builder sight glass tube and snapped it as well. I got a length of syphon tube and wrapped PTFE tape round the end and wedged it back in to the elbow. Not a perfect fix but it allowed me to brew and have done two more brews like it since. Did the s...

Re: New boiler advice
I use a Buffalo 3kw induction plate and a 70l insulated pot. It is a pleasure to brew on and archives a rolling boil no problem. Only issue is can be a little bit more costly to setup but means you can boil using smaller rated circuits. I currently use a 13a extension lead unwound outside.

Re: BrewBuilders 'High End Brew Pot' alternative?
My understanding is he was going to be getting a new shipment these pots were going to be etched on the inside. I had one of the last of the old 70l and the quality is perfect. Like said email him to see if he has a date for the new pots

Re: Bergland pots with Induction
Was that a 70 litre pot at capacity?
I’ll have to give the magnetic test a go tonight. Was hoping someone could turn around to say they’ve tried it with that pot and it either works or doesn't

yes it was pretty close to full

Re: Bergland pots with Induction
The way to tell is to see if a magnet will stick to the base. If it does they should work on an induction plate the bases are often made of different material than the sides. I used a 70l pot yesterday on mine and just about managed to get it up to 98/99 degrees. But it should do a full boil once in...
