Re: JG 7/16 FFL to 3/16 push fit
My credit card and Aliexpress have had a love affair over the last year and so I have also bought the NUKA taps with stout spout as well as Duotight inline regulators and much more aside. Don't like their government but do like their business approach. An item had not arrived and no issues, they ret...

Re: Brew Pub Shed Build
I meant that it show you pushing the hot wort in at the bottom instead of at the top. If it is turned upside then when you are finished pumping you can drain down the wort.

Re: Dry yeast reuse
Here is a tool from Lallemand https://www.lallemandbrewing.com/en/can ... alculator/
I put in to the calculator 1.058sg and batch 21 liters for their Diamond Lager, temp set for 12C. 24.1Gr needed so 3 packs ask for, expensive that

Re: Dry yeast reuse
Rather than start a new thread I thought I open up this one again. I notice that some dried yeast like Saflager 34/70 are quite expensive and for some reason are only packaged in 11Gr packs or 500Gr :-k . This means that when planning a Lager you may need at least 3 packs . So.... when a ques...

Re: The Great British Brew-off?
I'd say its done to show mistakes deliberately. A couple of years ago Diageo approached us in the National Homebrew Club Ireland as they wanted to reposition their red ale, Smithwicks as a crafty brand. They saw we were having an impact on opinion and their marketing boyo's thought to do an add camp...

Re: Hop advice please
https://beermaverick.com/hops/hop-comparison-tool/ This is a handy free tool, ( gotta Luv). Allows you to put 3 hops in to see how they can blend for you. Mosaic and Citra are just a great pair of Hops that as well as Galaxy would work well too. Dry hop with this or, and, whirlpool them too.

Re: False bottom for Grainfather
But... Are we not just polishing the proverbial turd here. Is the real issue that the GF pump/pipework is not up to the job. [/quote] Not really a problem for me on my Grainfather. I have an old model built before the days of bluetooth :) . Although I have a hop spider I have done all my hopping ba...

Just ordered one of these. I use pellets so hopefully it works with these as well.

Re: splitting 50gr pack
Good to know this as I was a bit concerned about when I break the seal that the yeast may begin to deteriorate quickly. It wont be hanging around with our club lads though.
