The PBW/StarSan worked pretty well.
Actually a good long hot soak in PBW with an occasional scrub did most of the work TBH.
Thanks for the input guys!

cleaning blocked mesh
Hi all,
My hop spider is totally blocked now, it's a really fine mesh one from BrewBuilder.
Any recommendations for cleaning it back so liquid flows through it again?

Web based recipe calculator
Hi Folks,
Having had a close escape with a corrupt hard drive with five years worth of recipes stored in BeerAlchemy, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for web based recipe builders/calculators?

Re: Maxi Controlling FV Temp`s
yeah but then the pump is running 100% - I like the idea of the pump being switched by the hot or the cool cycle of the STC.

Re: Maxi Controlling FV Temp`s
There is a radiator heater (150w) plumbed into the pipework of the recirc loop on the maxi. The STC controls this and the maxi via a few relays. The recirc pump is DE- wired from the maxi. So when cooling is required the STC fires up the maxi + pump. When heating is required the STC fires up the he...

Is there a definitive method for getting a good seal?
I've tried 1,2 and 3mm homemade silicone washers underneath and above, fibre washers, PTFE tape, LSX, all of the above, etc.
It's driving me nuts!

3KW LWD Element wiring advice
Just about to wire up one of Lard's elements, but the posts aren't labeled.
It's fairly obvious which one neutral is but not sure which should be live?
One post is longer than the other one...
Also, can I get away with a 13A plug temporarily?

been putting off an upgrade for a very long time.

Best place for SS pots
Hey guys/gals, This is a rather rude attempt to glean your knowledge of the best place to purchase stainless pots. I've not been on this forum for a while, but the last time I was actively here the german/french ebay thermopots where a good bet. Apologies, I've not got time to obsessively read throu...
