Re: Filling Sankey Kegs

Sounds complicated .....what I do is a 38 litre brew, gravity feed into sankey keg via a sankey coupler, but have the hose from the outlet from the coupler higher than the level of fluid in the conical.once the keg is full you see fluid in the outlet pipe from the coupler. Then I fit a bottling wand...

Re: Hose to tap connector

Why don't you tap into the cold water supply under the sink with a self cutting tap? Check out Opella self cutting tap on eBay

Re: Kegs arrived, 30l

I have only done this on a sankey keg and yes does take a while but, yr not filling the keg up yr just swilling it around, alternatively you could attach a steamer to the coupler and do it that way.
However, when I did fill the keg I wasn't in a rush , so to me that aspect is not such a problem

Re: Kegs arrived, 30l

Not wanting to disrupt the idea of spear removal, however, I'm wondering do we really need to remove it at all? I currently use cornies, but have taken possession of 3 kegs, so my arrangement with cornies has always been, rinse with oxyclean then fresh water, then fill up with bright beer, purge, se...

Re: reverse osmosis fliter question

Hi I have used RO water a lot in the past for fish keeping rather than brewing, you say it's a small unit , trust me 50 litres in a couple of hours is quite a large unit.... Many domestic units only manage 50 litres a day

Re: How to remove 1/2" FPT Coupler from ballvalve

Just a thought , why not fit a hex nipple to the socket but also fit a lock nut between the hex nipple and socket, tighten it up , get a spanner onto the locknut and then turn the tap?
