ive got all these ingrediants left over from other brews thought id use them up, its mashing now im thinking American Amber . could i use this type of heater
im building a temperature controlled freezer but instead of a tube heater and a separate fan i wonder does anyone use a fan heater or is there any reason not to use one

Hi all i have one of these crusader kegs and im not sure what part of the spear i remove. Ive searched the forum and there seems to be lots on this but all pictures are not there anymore. If anyone has a picture of what has to come off i would be great full

I have been using cask pretty much exclusively for over a year experimenting with various methods, my favourite still stands at direct dispense but this entails a different approach, as for the cask widge it is a very nice system to use but I would only recommend it for those who pay frequent visit...

i have been asked to update this post on my final recipe
the only thing i did different was cut the late hops down by around half. The yeast i used second time around was wlp007 couldn't tell the difference from that to the original Doombar yeast hope this helps

As others have said you can use cornies for low pressure dispense, but you will need an aspirator to keep the beer decent for a good while. You can get aspirators that add co2 at low pressure as you pull off beer. They usually cost around £30 or so. An equally good alternative is to get hold of a p...
