The Malt Miller
I've just received my latest order from the Malt Miller. Much improved packaging which is very easy to carry (even 30kg), personalized grain packaging and DHL delivery who text you the day of delivery and, on the day, the the time of delivery to within an hour. All seems to work like clockwork. I am...

Medlar Beer
I have a medlar tree in my garden (which I have grown from a sapling) and this year it produced a lot of fruit. I also picked up some dried hops from the oast so further experimental brews to follow. I also have some Goldings in t...

Re: Long Mashes
Cor. Don't you all get analytic about things and then can't agree what is right. Going back to basics and the aim to brew a beer that you enjoy drinking I don't think it matters a jot about what method you use, as long as it works for you. Personally, I find that and overnight mash is perfectly fine...

Whitbread - 1877 - XPS
Did anyone try this recipe from "Shut up about Barclay Perkins"? I didn't quite achieve the 1073 OG suggested in the recipe but having put it in a polypin on 20 June I have found the flavour changing quite dramatically. A few days ago it was strong stoutish but by today it had turned very licquorish...
