Looks like he no longer does free bottles then, it was about 4 years ago when I got my first one.
Thanks for the heads up on barber bros prices although I'm not over bham very often tho, worth remembering.

Re: CO2 suppliers in Telford/Shorpshire
I use "The Beer and Gas Man", they deliver to many areas around the Midlands, I've had them deliver to home and work (depending when the day/time they are delivering) currently 6Kg bottle is £8 +vat for a re-fill. When I got my first bottle off them there was no charge/deposit for the bottle, not su...

Re: Burnt Kettle Element!
I have a burco that I use for BIAB, after every brew I fill with enough water to cover the element, once the water is boiling I switch off and pour half a bottle of white vinegar and leave to soak. Usually the next day a light rub with a scourer/sponge and everything is clean and shiny, just rinse o...

Re: When to add dextrose?
Thanks for the replies everyone, I think I'll have a little play with it on the next batch and see what difference it makes. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Re: When to add dextrose?
Sorry to jump on your thread but I have a dextrose related query, hope you don't mind.
I was given some dextrose, but not sure what benefit it will add to a brew (I've recently started BIAB), also how much to add to a 23L brew, out does it depend on the recipe?
Anyone got any advice on this please?

This is something I've been looking into and believe you need secondary regulators.

Re: Leaking Stout Faucet.
I haven't got one of those taps, I've got an old Guinness tap from an auction site, however looking at where the leak is I would say it either need tightening a little more or there is a problem with a seal.

Re: Backing Nut for a beer tap
I bought a Guinness tap that didn't come with a nut on the back. Not sure on the actual size but I found that the nut off an old kitchen sink tap was the same size.

+1 for a turkey baster, sterilise/sanitise using normal solution/precedures used for everything else.
