Re: Replacement corny lid handle too long
I got one from Angel Homebrew like that. I ended up bending the handle using a vice rather than cutting slits, although you need to work out how to do it and still have it pull the lid up properly. They won't work on any corny with the rubber handles. Sad to say I posted a mixed review to that effec...

I may be missing something, but I don't see where the counter pressure bit comes from ? Looks just like a Blichmann clone.

Double sided sticky pads/no nails, and then any 10mm pipe clip you fancy from a plumbers merchant/DIY store assuming you are using 3/8 pipe ?

Re: Kegerator - Tidy Beer Lines.
Why not mount the beer taps inside the fridge ? That was going to be my option before I got a freezer.
With the thermal mass of the liquid inside the fridge, you won't be losing a great deal of cooling by opening and closing the door.

Re: Keezer/kegerator size
I've used a 90cm Norfrost. Fits 5 kegs with space for heater and fan, and leaves some working room for moving things around when you want to take a keg out. It does need a high collar though (6"), as the whole of the bottom is at the same level, with no compressor hump. Search this forum, there are ...

Have you checked the state of the o-ring. One of mine was leaking, and I just replaced the split o-ring with one close to the original size, and it is fine now.

It says it is sugar free, so probably not.
You can make wine from Birch sap directly from the tree, although I have never done it.

Re: Preparing a stock Buffalo Boiler for brewing
You'll need to go online to get anything that is really suitable. 3/8" is the equivalanet of 10mm, search for stainless ball valves on BES.co.uk. I' d suggest looking at various pictures in the forums of peoples builds to work out what you will need. 1/2" is the easier build as many people have done...

Re: Preparing a stock Buffalo Boiler for brewing
In case you didn't fancy making the tap hole larger, or in my case you wanted to leave as is in case I wanted to sell the boiler later, I have found that a 3/8th ball valve flows plenty quick enough and fits without enlarging the original tap hole.

Re: How many kegs do you have in your keezer/kegerator?
Five 19L cornies and 5 taps. Leaves a corny sized space for the heater/fans/initial gas pipe runs and few bottles. Five is more beer than I need on tap except when I have guests. Taps are on the short end as the keezer is in the shed and they would get in the way otherwise. I would have gone bigger ...

Re: Gas manifold recommendation?
I'm guessing they are screwed on, they are brass and there is no sign of any brazing/welding, but there is no protruding thread to be certain.
They are a very tight fit for the gas line, and although I have used worm drive clips to be safe, I can't see there being any issues with leaking.

Re: Gas manifold recommendation?
Well, it is installed and working, albeit quite tuneful when there is gas flowing through it. As to the efficacy of the check valves, I hope to never find out if it works or truly has them. As the picture on BrewUK implies, it is a Krome model, and their website has more details. Some others I saw s...
