Re: Cornie dry hopper
Keg Kingdom do them for £26, but be warned they don't work very well with pellets, you will get lots of debris in your keg and beer and you will need to re-filter it.

Re: New 'Commercial' 200l brewery
Just read through this whole thread and many congratulations on (at least partly) achieving your dream.
I suspect many of us imagine doing something similar but it takes quite a lot of guts to actually do it for real. Respect and good luck.

Re: Karmaleit tripel recipe help requested.
I thought both were very close indeed especially in taste which is my priority, and won't be changing my recipe at all. Although to be fair I have not managed to produce the huge head you get from real Karmeliet. I think this is because of the bottling yeast but I have been too chicken to try for fe...

Re: Karmaleit tripel recipe help requested.
Hi,
I've made a couple of attempts at a Karmeliet clone, both turned out pretty damn close...
White Labs #WLP500 = the perfect yeast for this beer.

Re: Rauchbier critique
Cheers for that darthballs! That recipe looks very nice. I'm wondering how Carafa III compares to the crystal malt I was thinking of using. It looks like it's a lot darker, but how about the flavour? In retrospect I'm thinking 700g of crystal in my recipe seems far too much? Hi, I don't think the C...

Re: Rauchbier critique
Hi Chris, I too am a big fan of the Schlenkerla rauchbiers and have brewed 3 times, my latest version came out sweeter than I had expected but I think it was because I left it to long before bottling. I have a fridge now too which enables more control of the temps. Funnily enough the first time I br...

Re: AG#11 - Tripel Spuduliet II
It is a pretty sweet beer, as you would expect, with plenty of the vanilla/bananary esters and is very very much like karmeliet. You can both smell and taste the coriander, but only just which again seemed right to me and there is a very faint hint of herby pepperyness (is that a word?) in your mout...

Re: AG#11 - Tripel Spuduliet II
Big delay on the image but this is how this beer turned out. Very similar to Tripel Karmeliet but not quite there on the carbonation and perhaps this is because Bosteels add yeast to their bottles to aid bottle conditioning and I didn't. This might be something to try when I brew this again in a few...

I too am interested in trying this with a brew and recently discovered this yeast at The Home Brew Shop in Aldershot.
I haven't used it yet but I am tempted to try it in something...

I have twice tried to brew a clone of this beer, the second time it was very very close.
The thread is here and I have noticed that I do need to update with a pic so will do so later this evening. A very tasty beer indeed.

Awww, shame. If I had known in advance I wouldn't have bought a season ticket.
Still, looking forward to trying a shedload of lovely beers over the next three days, woohoo!!

Re: Experience with Rauchmalt?
Hi there, I would recommend trying to get hold of a bottle of schlenkerla rauchbier märzen and tasting it to see if you like it. I say this because it is a bit of an acquired taste if you don't. Personally I love it an have brewed it twice and my brewdays with recipes are included below. These are b...
