Re: "No-Chill" Cubes

Is it though?

How long to the fresh wort kits last from the malt miller?

It’s gone from boiling into clean container. Pretty standard food industry stuff.

Re: Wheat malt substitute

I had a pint from the local micro that was not a NEIPA but had the colour of one.

Do you think they are using just plain flour?

Most of my NEIPAs drop perfectly bright too quickly!

Re: Brew Uk

Interesting this. If it’s the same Youngs Home brew as the one in my neck of the woods (West Midlands), they are a well established company of many years selling only to trade customers. Many of their products I’ve bought indirectly. Perhaps they are spreading their wings and supplying us public. I...

starting all grain brewing

Cross My Loof Citra 6.99 inc shipping

MM 10.09 plus shipping.

And that’s the first thing I checked, a very popular go to hop.

Last time I shopped about for Malt they were the most expensive.

I was loyal to one suppler years but now I shop about on every order. MM never wins.

It makes your beer taste a bit wanky.

I tried one years ago, it was excellent but also much cheaper. They were always out of stock so lost interest but went AG anyway.

It’s an age old argument and also an industry standard which has been discussed to death.

You could use caustic truck wash instead.
Thin beach is normally used a no rinse sanitiser. Not sure TFR would be a suitable substitute.

Nope.
Even the Minch malt is £40 a sack at The Homebrew Company now!
Yeah, I know it’s crazy times but you can still get a bag of pale sub 40.

I just picked up a sack of Bairds for 25 off the local micro at cost price last week. Not tried it but they turn out some decent ales.
