Unfortunate, but then you'll probably still hit 4.5% ish. A more sessionable pint if nothing else :)
Not a big deal. Sometimes I hit my volume on the nose sometimes not. Other than cleaning and sanitizing I'm pretty laid back.

Re: Tomorrow's brew

How did it go? I brewed a Gratzer today, currently chilling off before I pitch the yeast. Probably going to be a late one as its taking an hour per degree  It ended up 3.3 gallons at 1.044 which would have been the 1.050 planned if I'd sparged a bit less. The hydrometer sample was delicious.

Who started with extract?

Which of you started with extract and moved to all-grain and who stayed with extract?

Re: BRY-97

I brewed an extract wheat ale (1.045) with BRY-97. I pitched the yeast at 10:30 Tuesday morning and it was burping through the airlock every 5 seconds at 7:30 Wednesday morning.

First brew for new fridge.

I started the process of filling my new fridge with a simple wheat beer. I plan to add a pound of wildflower honey on the second or third day.

1.045 starting gravity with Crisp #19 maris otter and these.
Ignore this. I grabbed the wrong hops for the picture, should be progress.

Very nice! What are the notes that the pilgrim hops provide? I haven't used them before.

Definitely some pics down the road I hope!
Didn‘t you say you were using Pilgrim? 🤔
OOOOOOOOPS wrong hop in picture. That should be progress at 6.2%, not pilgrim.
