Re: 0.01g accuracy scales up to around 200g or 500g

From my unextensive testing:

2x 50p (1997 coins) weigh exactly 8.00g with it.

Some others from later, weigh around 8.09g or so.

Re: 0.01g accuracy scales up to around 200g or 500g

I decided to order that cheapo one just to play with. I saw you can get the weights from the royal mint of coins, so i'll test it with that. Haha, I'll have to beware of measuring things too precisely. I recently picked up a new pH meter that claims to be accurate to 0.01pH, so I fear it's already s...

0.01g accuracy scales up to around 200g or 500g

Hi

I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend some scales
with around 0.01g accuracy scales up to around 200g or 500g.

There seems to be a number on amazon such as
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ascher-Portabl ... 01FQHE25U/

would that be fine?

Re: little flow meter + display

Heh. I used https://uk.farnell.com/stmicroelectronics/stm32f429i-disco/stm32f4-discovery-eval-board/dp/2355377 the original board, however there is now a new revision: https://uk.farnell.com/stmicroelectronics/stm32f429i-disc1/dev-board-advanced-line-mcu/dp/2506924 It looks to me that they should be...

Just knocked up this little display thing for my Swissflow flow meter :) seems to work pretty accurately with water
from my rudimentary test. (Just using a little pouring jug).

Re: Colour of boiled hops

Yeah that's a good point there must be multiple factors affecting the colour.

Will be glad to finally get brewing again now, once I get some more hops heh, after using some intended for my recipe.

Re: GF pressure transfer JG reducer size?

If I recall correctly I've used 5/16" JG fittings before (I don't have a grainfather though sorry).

Re: Colour of boiled hops

I'm not sure, I thought it'd be either greeny or a lot lighter in colour. This looks like it would dramatically change the colour of say a pils style beer.

Colour of boiled hops

I just did an experiment which required using 100g of hops in roughly 30l of water and boiled for roughly 45 mins, but I'm really surprised at the colour
of the water after boiling, it's a darkish orangey brown.

Does that seem normal?

Re: Plugging a 1" BSP hole

Being somewhat cheap and wanting to use SS, I decided to take a shot at the blanking plug and cap, and some silicone washers, needless to say I can't seem to get the cap to squish the silicone washer down well at the moment. So I'm wondering, could the following work: Blanking plug ----> keg -----> ...
