Re: Fullers 1845

Anyone know why fullers 1845 disappeared from every supermarket shelf ? Has it? Hell's teeth! But it's not too hard to make a decent clone of it. After all, that's what this site is about! I make a batch every year (but none ready for this Christmas, drat). I’m intending making 5 gallons of London ...

Re: Fullers 1845

Considering there have been only half a dozen posts in the commercial beers category (mainly from me) I thought I would ask again in a more relevant category . Sorry if this offends anyone .

What do you mean Lee ? I thought it relevant to both categories. One post was about a beer the other about a yeast ?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He means you don't need to post exactly the same thing twice Not quite ‘exactly’ and what’s the problem ? I’m only trying to get an answer . Alway...

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie

Followed instructions and just barrelled a lager . Tried it through tap and it flows well and is pretty clear ... obviously have to wait a few days for carbonation and clarity .. but I am very happy so far and no foaming problem .

Re: Retubing beer font.

Case solved!!! In case anyone else has this problem . The main trick is you have to feed a new line down the font from the tap end . Problem with this font was it is packed with polystyrene at the bottom which wouldn’t budge and needed drastic attack to mole through to fish the line out . https://up...

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie

I’m totally confused by the in post/ out post debate . Why can’t I cut the beer out post and fit the float to it ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You can indeed cut the beer out dip tube but they are difficult, if not impossible, to replace. Making the Cornie worthless if you want to sell it. M...

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie

Sorry about the orientation but here is a piccie of the very first beer out of the cornie using this float device. For me this is the clearest brightest beer I have ever served from a cornie. This is carbonated in the keg using priming sugar not force carbonated! http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Splitting beer line

Sorry I don’t quite understand. A 4 coil cooler feed 4 taps. The chilled water recirc can feed 4 fonts. If you have them in series (1 loop) the first will be the coldest, the last the warmest. I would probably pipe them up in parallel by taking the flow and return close to all 4 and spitting them i...

Re: Beer engines; keeping it fresh

I have a lot of experience with EWL 1/4 pint handpulls with cooling jackets . If connected to cooler no need to waste any beer ... even after a few days in cylinder ! I only flush on every barrel change .... years of doing it ... no problem ! ( BTW I use cornys with check valve and absolute minimum...
