Re: Beer engines; keeping it fresh

I’ve been using hand pull pumps for 25 years . Mainly England:worthside with cooling jackets . I’ve never had a problem keeping beer fresh and only clean on barrel change . I have learned never to use hot water as this can damage seals and non/ return mechanism. I have also learned to my cost that b...

Re: Fullers 1845

I'm of to Sainsbury's to get some!! Good luck . I’ve been to a few Sainsbury’s and Waitrose with no luc...

Re: What’s the shelf life of trub yeast?

Good afternoon guys. A few weeks ago I had a go at brewing a beer that I’ve been drinking for a few years now down in Somerset from Cheddar ales called Potholer. I’ve visited the brewery a few times in the past to collect a small keg of draft for weekend drinking, imo it’s a beautiful well balanced...

Re: Fullers 1845

Anyone know why fullers 1845 disappeared from every supermarket shelf ? Has it? Hell's teeth! But it's not too hard to make a decent clone of it. After all, that's what this site is about! I make a batch every year (but none ready for this Christmas, drat). I’m intending making 5 gallons of London ...

Re: Fullers 1845

Considering there have been only half a dozen posts in the commercial beers category (mainly from me) I thought I would ask again in a more relevant category . Sorry if this offends anyone .

What do you mean Lee ? I thought it relevant to both categories. One post was about a beer the other about a yeast ?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He means you don't need to post exactly the same thing twice Not quite ‘exactly’ and what’s the problem ? I’m only trying to get an answer . Alway...

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie

Followed instructions and just barrelled a lager . Tried it through tap and it flows well and is pretty clear ... obviously have to wait a few days for carbonation and clarity .. but I am very happy so far and no foaming problem .

Re: Retubing beer font.

Case solved!!! In case anyone else has this problem . The main trick is you have to feed a new line down the font from the tap end .
