Re: Your favourite Graham Wheeler recipe...

I've made Summer Lightening before, can't remember where I got the recipe but it's not in GW"s European book....at least not in my 1995 edition

Edit
Just found it in the British book...it wasa great beer

I’ve always said “why-east”. I don’t think it matters too much [emoji846]

That's close to what I thought it is...I have always read it as 'why-yeast'

Wyeast

How do you pronounce 'Wyeast'? Is it 'double you yeast' or what?
I've only bought it online and read the word, I don't think I have ever had to say it out load but it occurred to me today that I wouldn't know how to.

That’s always the question! Do the Nussdorf you’ll not regret it.
What yeast do you recommend for it? I bought GW's European book second hand a few weeks ago but haven't brewed anything from it yet but I noticed that he doesn't specify a yeast

Re: St Austel 'Proper Job' Cornish IPA - help please

Thanks Meatymc the llast couple of PJ bottles from the supermarket are pretty clear - despite the bottle warning to pour carefully to avoid disturbing the sediment. I'm planning on a guided tour of the brewery and bar soon. Maybe if I contact them in advance, I could get some real yeast from them? ...

What do you mean Lee ? I thought it relevant to both categories. One post was about a beer the other about a yeast ??

Hops fine. Use a proper sanitizer though, boiling water is ineffective
Why is boiling water ineffective?

That’s perfect! I’ll make one just like that, thanks for your help.

So the little filter and spring made no difference?

Do you boil your stone of just soak it in star san?
I rinse it with water after use and spray with starsan before use

In the interests of bumping the post in the hope you get an answer, I have to say that I have no idea what a Tonka bean is or how you would use it, or any other bean when brewing beer

If you right click on your image, you should get an option to "copy image address".

You then need to use the full editor, then click on the insert image icon, then you should get this "Image ", paste the image address in the space between the square brackets.
That's what I thought I did....

I set flow rate to 1 litre per minute for 1 minute. The cylinder in the photo has lasted a lot of brews. I haven't been counting
