Re: Keg Hopper

Unfortunately mine is without the mesh so the pellets will escape. Regarding the amount, sorry I can't help. Can't remember the amount of leaf I f...

Splitting 5 gallon kit into two fermenters

Hi all Circumstances dictate that I may need to minimise my lifting of heavy weights, so............... Has anyone ever split a 5 gallon kit into two full size fermenters? Including splitting the sachets of yeast, stabiliser and finings. Not sure about making the whole batch up in one with a tap whi...

Re: Mangrove Jack Hop Spider

I used to have one but returned it as I found too much debris was getting through the 800 mesh. Swapped it for tho 200 micron one that Rob sells. Was worried at first that 200 would be too fine but I've not had any problem with it and it catches most of the debris. I've even removed the bazooka filt...

They were a bit rough to start with but did mellow a bit in time. The mid range ones do give much better r...

Kwik clear/clear it finings

Hi all Just returning to wine making after 30 odd years. I'm wondering how long the above finings last once they've been opened? I read somewhere that there's about a month or so on them but elsewhere I've read that they're ok well past this time. No mention of how far past though. What's the genera...
