Re: Pipe conversions

if you go to the likes of B&Q,they have a plumber on their staff who will help you.I used 8mm copper as a IC and got step up brass fittings to fit a male hose quick connect. This ment that all I do is connect the garden hose to the in and another to the out to feed away the water.

a temperature control jacket or something similar would allow it to be used to control fermentatio temp.It would also mean that conditioning temp could also be done.

Re: False bottom questions

the smaller the better,1mm slots instead of round holes will drain much better. A stainless steel cutting disc is 1mm thick but since your using plastic it might burn a burr on the plastic, try it on a waste piece first.

Re: Deep Stainless Steel Scratch

if you start now you can let us know how you got on about christmas time,go into a B&Q or similar shop and have a look at a polishing disc. The disc has a cartwheel look and is not very rough but will polish stainless steel up to a smooth shine.

Re: Deep Stainless Steel Scratch

if it is stainless steel then you can use a polishing disc fitted to a 4" grider tool,it will polish out any blemishes no bother.

Re: False bottom - 40cm SS Round tray

If you can make slotted holes instead of round ones you will have better drainage of wort from the grain bed
