Diablo Surprise!
After to planning on leaving it 4 weeks to try a taster bottle of my Brewferm Diablo, I folded last night and cracked open a 3 week old bottle. I was expecting a sharp tasting brew judging by the experience of the early tastings of Triple, Framboos & Abdij, but I was greeted with an almost dark plum...

Re: Woodfordes ALLSORTS
Hi Don't be put off your NOG just yet! I bottled all of mine and didn't really like it much at all to start with, but I had a bottle (7 weeks old) last week and it was like a different beer. The beer has lost it's heavyness now, and has an almost sweet initial taste that changes to a mildly bitter d...

Re: High ambient fermentation temps.
24C is getting a tad high for me. I certainly wouldn't want to see it get to 25 or 26. You maybe need to find a cooler place if you are planning to brew through the summer months. Sorry, just noticed your reply. I will probably move my FV downstairs into the kitchen for anymore summer brewing, much...

High ambient fermentation temps.
I am currently fermenting some Muntons Midas Touch in my spare room. Now that the weather has picked up, this room never drops below 21C at night and can get as high as 24C in the day. Will these higher temps affect my brew? This room is ideal for me because its out of the way of my 4 year old daugh...

Re: My Coopers Australian Lager
I used the kit yeast and it took off like a rocket!
I think I'm right in saying that its an ale yeast.

Re: My Coopers Australian Lager
I've got to be honest, it tasted pretty at 4 weeks old
It's quite lively, as you can see from the head!

Coopers Sparkling Ale
Hi, I've just been reading about the Coopers Sparkling Ale kit. It looks interesting, and quite expensive if you use all of the fermentables that Coopers suggest!
Just wondered whether anybody on here has tried this kit?

Re: Slightly out of date yeast.
He actually chucked in a 6g Muntons sachet FOC, so I've got a backup, I would just prefer to use the supplied kit yeast if possible.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Slightly out of date yeast.
I picked up cheap (£8.99) Brewferm Gallia kit today from my LHBS today because its 2 months out of date.
Do you think that the yeast will be ok to use?
