Personally I prefer the taps which close themselves but if you don't want that can you not just open the tap and take the spring out?

That's awesome thank you. What size keg / FV did you use to wrap the hose / tube around? I am not sure if my 20 litre Sankey would be too small a diameter. Sorry for all the questions! Mashed in 6 litres at 71C which fell to 70C after 40 minutes.
