Looks like a good deal for BIAB Starter

Has anyone tried this BIAB starter kit from The Homebrew Company?

It looks like a good deal to get started with BIAB.

Re: Sugarwash?

Apparently there is a further process you can do to this wash and add flavourings but I know nothing about this.

Here is something for making distilled water

Re: Whats that twang?

I think it comes from the reaction of malt extract with the can.

Could also be your water. Do you treat with a Camden tablet? You could always try a brew with supermarket bottled water to eliminate this from the equation.

What to do with Thomas Coopers IPA?

I've just brewed up the hop slam IPA NZ.
I've doing a double batch so half in bottles half in keg. Sounds yummy.

What to do with Thomas Coopers IPA?

I've picked up a can of Thomas Coopers IPA today. I was thinking of 1kg dme and a cup of sugar the same as ditch's stout recipe brewed to 20l. I might also dry hop but not too sure what to try. I have some ekg hop oil from the Malt Miller so might put a few ml of this in at the end. What do you thin...

Re: A nice dry/scrumpy style cider

Look up turbo cider. 23l supermarket apple juice. 1 litre of strong tea made with 4 bags. Tablespoon of tomato purée as nutrient. Yeast of your choice. Some add honey, some add sugar. The world is your oyster.

Re: Brewgas sparkler tap on budget barrel

I have now fitted the Brewgas sparkler tap to two budget barrels. I put Pte tape on the thread and screwed them in. No need for the back nut and no leaks so far. The flow is very controllable and is much better than the standard taps.

Brewgas sparkler tap on budget barrel

As per the title really, has anybody fitted the brewgas sparkled tap to a budget 2' cap pressure barrel? Are any modifications required?

Thanks
