Re: Whirfloc driving me crazy
My hops are put in a bag so my boiling wert is very clear, my hop filter is a six inch long copper pipe with hundreds of 2mm holes in it, I can see the whirlfloc clouds moving in on the filter and blocking it. If it is ok to have the whirfloc residue in my fermenter then I can take my hop filter out...

Hi all, I could do with some advice every time I use whirfloc tablets it blocks my hop filter to a slow drip when emptying into the fermenting vessel, the only way I can get it to empty is to run my plastic paddle up and down the hop filter while it is emptying but with the trouble with that is all ...

Re: Aldi digital thermometer.
I did another mash today and it was useful and accurate when pointed inside the boiler at the dark coloured wort whilst chilling with the wort chiller, apart from that I cannot find much use for it.

Re: Aldi digital thermometer.
I bought one, for gods sake don't bother for some reason when I pointed it at my boiler today it said 23 degree c when it was a rolling boil, but the freezer said it was at -18 c so opened the door and it read -18 c, doesn't seem to like shiny surfaces

Re: Kegerator
Got the taps from keg kingdom 3 perlick 650ss and a stout tap, not bothering with drip trays as the kegerator is out in the garage that's been converted to a games room and has block pathing floor, so not to worried about any drips, the taps don't seem to drip anyways which is a plus.

Stout faucet
Hi all, I've just purchased a couple of the perlick 650ss for my kegerater project, which is not yet put together and am now wanting a stout faucet, could anyone tell me if the dispensing pressure has to be 1psi at the tap on a stout faucet or could I get away with more.

Re: Any reason why I shouldn't do this...
image.jpg That's basically what I've done if you zoom in on my pic, I used 15mm tank connector to 15mm 90 degree then used 15mm to 10mm reducing connector with 1/2" of copper tube soldered in then pushed my 3/8 acrylic pipe on to the copper pipe it is a real tight fit and hasn't leaked, then I got ...
