Re: Pressure fermenting lager experiment
I like the fermenter. I am having 2 30 liter kegs built like this atm. having 2 50mm ferrules added to the side to be able to fit a thermowell and a sampling tap too. When fermenting will the gas coming off the fermenter fully fill the corney keg.

grainfather pump part
I decided to strip my grainfather pump to clean it as I had never done it since I had got the grainfather, however, I dropped the pump and broke 1 of the 4 impeller blades so was wondering if anyone here had a broken pump that I could get an impeller from

Yeast choice for a Wit style beer
I am looking for suggestions for a yeast other than Belgium style for to brew a white style beer. Not a fan of the clove/banana that gives off. Recipe would be wit style with heavy wheat addition and orange zest, coriander and such.

Re: Saflager W-34/70
I am planning a Maibock brew and was also planning to conditioning it for 4 months at 0.0C. My brewing experience tells me to ferment at 9C as I am not sure about what flavors you will end up with the higher temperature

Re: Saflager W-34/70
What I am trying to understand about the large temperature range offered up when using this yeast is why do I choose one over the other. So I use this yeast at 9C and ferment slowly, or, use this yeast at 19C and put under 5 psi pressure. Am I going to have the same results or am I going to have 2 d...

Re: PH questions
My last runnings this time were PH 5.8 and the gravity was 1009. The PH of my wort going to boil was 5.5 and I added first wort hops and steep hop at 70C for 20 minutes. Thing is, my wort after boil was 5.9PH which means it rose instead of falling.

Re: PH questions
My wort comes in at 5.5PH. my final sparge runnings are 1009 gravity. when I compete the boil I find the PH to be 5.9. Only thing I attribute to this may be the late hop which I add at 70C for 2o minutes.

PH questions
I use beersmith3 and in it you can set up water profiles to add salts to either the mash or split them between mash and sparge or mash and boil. I have done all of these. I also take plenty of notes on brewday and what I notice is that my PH numbers don't go as planned. I use RO water and although i...

Re: Cip pump?
I used copper pipe for mine. I also fitted garden hose connectors to the long stem part so I can disconnect it after for easy storage in its bucket with the pump.

Re: Cask Station
I think I have covered all. The cask has a Peltier cooler and a non return valve and an aspirator with a soda stream bottle to add a co2 covering blanket.
