Re: John Wright melon fizz
I've got a couple of wines on the go but they take a while and I wanted a quick simple brew for the meantime, just to see what would happen I'm now making my 2nd batch but quadrupled the amount. Just waiting for a BBQ day or at least the closest we get up here in the north east

Re: Darlington, Northallerton, middlesbrough.
I don't drive so it's a bit out of my way. I did consider it for a day but decided setting up a new one would be easier I know a brewery near me who would welcome brewers.

Darlington, Northallerton, middlesbrough.
Looking for any clubs around this area, the "current" darlington club has failed to respond to my willingness to join so I'm left to assume it has disbanded. If not I'm willing to set one up but I need interested brewers. Beer, Wine and other brews up for it. I make all kinds of things so don't feel...

Re: Filtering Wine
What wine are you making?
With my own experiance I find that bulk aging helps with flavours so I let my wines clear on there own then bottle so no need for a filter.

Re: Elderflower and Elderberry
I did this last year from berries picked the year before stored In the freezer and drank it this year and it seemed to make the elderberry wine more rounded I only added 5-10 flower heads added to the must before transfer to demijon. The slight smell of the flowers was pleasant and rounded the flavo...

Re: BIAB Stuff
I know this is an old thread but that Graff sounds really interesting I might have to try with the juice of some other ingredients.
It's going to be fun or a really expensive (for me) dissaster.

Re: Just a therory
Theory Now deffined as technology trying to be smart and auto correcting then the human not double checking. I have a lot to do first before I even get that far I'm building my own brewing setup from scratch as I made a bet with a mate who said its impossible to do all grain for less than £100 Unfor...

Re: Hoopèrs dandelion and burdock
That's not my style I like to do it properly like most brewers from scratch. I forage with the family and I love the taste of DnB it makes a great low caffine coffee but a real pain to make at home, Back to the (BEER STYLE) I guess it could be a base of light lager malt with some dark special malt l...

Re: Just a therory
I think I'm going to have to buy a white lab coat, send my family away for a week, put on the phantom of the opera sound track (after downloading it from somewhere) then get to making some serious experimenting and note taking
