I use Videne, basically the same ingredient, and I ordered it
in from my local Tesco pharmacy, pay in advance and it comes

The best elderberry I made was a couple of years ago, when i made
five gall with five kg elderberries, one kg blackberries, and one bottle of
the polish blackcurrant you get at Tescos added at sg 1040 when the
ferment was flying along. Made sugar up to 5,4 kg and used rc212 yeast.

@WM13 if you disolve ordinary silver spoon sugar in a couple of boiled pints of your water in a pan on a ring, get it simmering, add your teaspoon of citric and simmer for 30 min the liquid will turn straw coloured.
