A homebrewer kindly donated me a 9 inch false bottom. But minus the fittings. So what is everyone using to connect theres up.

4000g pale
250g carawheat
100g amber
100g torry wheat

50g at 90
25g at 15
25 at 0 for 20mins

Ferment with notts at 18c

Maybe sum 20g of challenger to start then 25g each of goldings and this hop blend then maybe a further 25g each as a nolice little dry hop ?

Been given 100g of the bushel of hops old english hop variety any one got any recipes to use with them.

Got wuiete a few other english hops like fuggles challenger goldings and ekg and admiral. Plus sum keyworth mid

Im planning on building one with left over 10mm copper pipe swan over kettle side then bend it around the circumference over the pot i think that might work

Theres also hook n claw aka geka fittings which people are using on the hot side. Which ever way you go its going to cost around 7-10 quid per pair I've only seen these in brass, and I'm not a fan of using brass in hot acidic wort, even if it has a low lead content. Many people use um successfully ...

Ebay is were ive been looking for geka fittings unless someone can suggest a cheaper source

Quick disconnects i believe the hose has to be perfectly straight or it weelps im led to believe.

Im in a similiar boat as you im about to buy my first load of connections and i only wanna buy once

Nothing like oxford gold sadly according to my dad, think it lacked the fruity sweet edge. I found it perfectly drinkable tho no idea how id improve it
