Re: Peltier fermentation chamber.
I built exactly what you are describing, detailed here: https://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=79059 It worked okay last summer but couldn't handle the heatwave this year. I ripped it out and filled the hole. To keep on brewing I put a 25l bucket in the keezer filled with water and 300m...

Re: Great....just f***ing great.
When did you buy it? I would say that's not fit for purpose.

Keezer Fan Holder
I was having trouble with ice forming at the bottom of my Keezer and it being warmer at the top by about 8C. I saw others have installed a fan so I bought a 120mm USB powered case fan from Amazon . It was working well balanced between to kegs but this was obviously a pain. I couldn't really find som...

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie
Yes it's a gas in tube but also a gas in post, a beer out disconnect won't fit.

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie
I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I did notice that's on a gas in post, not beer out though if you weren't aware.

Re: Fitting my first tap to my keezer
For those that are interested this is the bottom of the collar which I was going to silicone seal in so I didn't bother filling it to make it perfectly smooth. Marine ply is a really good material and I'd really recommend it, but I did need to buy a circular saw! The varnish made it so smooth I wish...

Re: Fitting my first tap to my keezer
Thanks for all the comments! It makes sense about the flow control on the tap and that's great advice of how to drill the hole. I'm a bit nervous about it after the work I'd put in on the collar. SWMBO said it was probably best to use outdoor varnish given the temperature differences and I think it ...

Re: Beer cooler water treatment?
My crazy idea worked. I put a pump in with a 10m PVC tube coming out of the keezer into the Fermentation Chamber (which can hold 3 x 25 litre buckets) and then back again. The garage was 30C and it got the FC down to 22C in about five minutes and took half an hour to get it to 18C. In this heat I ha...

Re: Fitting my first tap to my keezer
Looks good! Nice finish on the marine ply, those joints look really solid. Can't you just get the tap mounted using the pipe you show in the photo and then adjust it (if required) afterwards? That's how I would go about it. That makes sense, I've read too much and just need to do it! Thanks for the...

Fitting my first tap to my keezer
After one failed attempt with a scaffold board I've finally got a collar around my keezer made of custom cut planks of marine ply doubled together. As you can see from the pictures below I've had to use some filler but I wanted the surface too be as smooth as possible for the freezer lid. I had want...

Re: " Ditch's Stout " Master Class .....
Thanks for the replies, the brew has been left for 2 weeks and still stinks like cider (and tastes a bit like it too). The second brew I ever did was a pale ale and tasted like sour cider, I was really worried about it. Once fermentation is complete (including secondary if bottling) leave it for at...

Re: Beer cooler water treatment?
Funnily enough I have plans to pump water from my keezer around my fermentation chamber to keep it cool. I was also concerned about keeping it clean so bought some Tesco Value bleach today. This post from Graham Wheeler seems to suggest 375ml of Tesco Value bleach in 25 litres (15ml per litre) will ...

Re: What fridges are we using?
I bought this freezer:

It holds three cornies and four with a collar, I control it with an Inkbird. I'm really happy with it.
