Re: Brewing and steam issues
Once again, thanks so much for the advice. Great phrase "beer sauna" It's an issue as I have a few electronic assemblies about which have taken one soaking however repeated soaking is not a great idea. There is only one issue, venting steam from the boil. I brew in my shed which shares space with bikes and some other bits (tools etc). I open the door...

Re: Sparge and mash liquor
Thanks for the reply,
it's only a small brew about 2 1/2 kg of malt hence the small amount of liquid.

Whitelabs culturing video?
Hello,
I've been a bit out of brewing, one of the last things I saw was a video showing how to culture yeast from a bottle of white shield. Can't remember who made it, I can remember a lighter round the neck of the bottle.
Anyone got a link or a method for this.
Thanks!

Just looking through some recipes I came to the same conclusion, just wanted to see what others thought!
So now the choice is Kolsch 1st (easier as I have more bits) or Weissbier?
HHHHmmmmmmmmm

Re: Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier Clone?
OK, so what is the difference between a Weissbier and a Kolsch as the grains seems to be very similar just the major difference is years. Or am I missing something else?

Re: Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier Clone?
I will probably make my own recipe using about 70% wheat 30% pilsner or pale malt.
Still use hallertau hops and specific yeast.
Cheers
