Replacement tap for Buffalo 30L

I've been looking at options for replacing the tap on my new shiny Buffalo 30L, any thoughts on this one?

Click Me!

Seems like a good option but has anyone tried this on their own Buffalo?

Re: first brew

That's an idea, may give that a bash failing all else. What I meant was some of Shepherd Neame's own yeast, as their beers have a character that many think comes down to the yeast they use. I'll either harvest from a bottle of 1698, or be lazy and ask brewlab to send me one :D

Re: My first BIAB - Timothy Taylor Landlord

Getting very used to that feeling, the waiting makes it all the better though. My first two brews are almost ready...

Re: first brew

Thanks, but that was the one I meant :(
Its most of the way there but didn't quite nail it. Thinking of getting hold of some Shep's yeast and seeing if that helps!

Re: Need advice on fitting a tap...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread...
Any idea where I can get similar parts for cheaper? Just checked out BES and they're f***ing expensive!
If its the only option then fair enough, but I get the impression there must be somewhere cheaper...

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread...
What was your recipe? I've just bottled one from the Hop and Grain recipe and its not quite...it. Wondered what you did so I can modify and get closer to nailing this clone!

Re: My first BIAB - Timothy Taylor Landlord

I brewed a Landlord clone this weekend too. My recipe was a little different, but colour looked good by the end of boil. Was mini BIAB #3 for me, and the first using the maxi method. I got 13 litres out of my little 11 litre stock pot ;)
Happy days! Hope yours goes well buddy.

Re: What are people's experience of Hop&Grape?

I've used their store a number of times and always found them good to deal with; haven't had any situations where I've had to ask them to go the extra mile so far... Courier wise their usually pretty quick, I think they just changed theirs and was faster than usual. I'd give good credit to the Home ...

Re: Temperature Controller

Lovely, was hoping that was the right one. Been reading up for a while and seemed like the right type but then I thought "sh*t, voltage? ermm...will this work here?"
Thanks to you all for putting my tiny mind at rest!

Re: AG#7- Spring Lightning (BIAB)

I've just done my first miniBIAB of a Summer Lightning recipe; cheers for your posts Goulders, has given me some good guidance of possible pitfalls and things to watch for. Here's hoping that both of ours work out well!
