My own experience with a 0.5 micron stone is set your flow meter to 1l a minute for 30-40 secs for 1040-1050 beers, high gravity 1100's need 90 secs at the same level, a further shot on high gravity beers only after 12 hours also helps, You get quicker fermentation starts, remember only before you p...

w5 in the purple container in lidl shifts everything from my carboys, I leave on their side for 12 hours and rotate. A good rinse and some starsan and I'm good to go with a shiny carboy.

I sell plastic for a living and I can assure you they are ok. If the wall thickness was thicker or had supporting ribs along the side walls they would be perfect. If you have a plastic kettle at home it's 20% talc filled polypropylene. They put the talc in to cheapen it and also increase marginally ...

They are Polypropylene Copolymer and good up to 120 Degrees. Sorry to piss on your chips as it looks great but that drum looks like its made from HDPE, which will permeate gases and in particular Co2 :( , and the reason why you only ever see carbonated drinks sold in PET bottles. try having a go with 3 litre Pet bottles and the valve.
