Re: Kegs arrived, 30l
Have you tried it yet with a traditional keg? Only reason is that on my Sankey coupler the gas in has a very small bore and I can see it taking a while to drain.

Re: Kegs arrived, 30l
So you gravity drain upside down, with the keg connector connected through the gas in (water out of the gas in)?

What I did was look on the John Guest website and bought them on ebay. www.stonehelm.co.uk sells them too.

Re: Force Carbination of 50ltr Keg
Oh ai, I forgot you were working with the 50L keg. Bet thats fun to move about when full :D Makes sence if your brewing bigger batches, and given the fact the price difference between keg sizes is negligible. I've ordered a party tap and 2mtrs of 3/16 beer line from norm. Hopefully this will help ou...

Re: Force Carbination of 50ltr Keg
Good stuff! My plan should work then
Seems like we got a few good ways for force carbing now.
Clive, do you force carb using the 'shake' method or just set and leave?

Re: Force Carbination of 50ltr Keg
Yea I'll do that. Im taking your advise on using water before any beer goes near it! Im only used to bottling and cheap plastic kegs at the mo.
I've only PTFE'd the fittings so I can always change things. I like your simplified coupler. 'More than one way to skin a cat' as they say.

Re: Force Carbination of 50ltr Keg
Just noticed on your picture you havnt used a Tee piece of the gas supply of things, ie you can let gas out but how are you getting gas in? through the beer outlet? If thats the case I hope you have a one way valve on the beer outlet otherwise there isnt anything to stop the beer travelling along t...
