Thank you for not shooting me. It did feel a little bit like it, though.

PS: I had to look up the word „interlocutor“ myself. There must be a more common word for it, but it doesn‘t come to mind.

Re: Dark Mild

Blimey. I thought I didn't hang about. But Omg. Credit where credit is due, that is quick. One of the advantages of mild and other low original gravity beers is they can be ready fairly quickly. Commercial brewers also look to serve beer fresh. Banks's brewery (pronounced Bonks's now brewed by Mars...

Recently made a smash with marria otter and some (homegrown) first gold. Used wlp002, between the yeast and the hops there is a distinct marmalade flavour.
Made a smash with MARRIA ? Hope both of you enjoyed it =D>

Re: Wheat malt substitute

I had a pint from the local micro that was not a NEIPA but had the colour of one. Do you think they are using just plain flour? Most of my NEIPAs drop perfectly bright too quickly! You want cloudy beer [-X Randy Mosher tells you how. https://www.amazon.com/Radical-Brewing-Recipes-World-Altering-Med...

Re: Belgium Stout?

Don't take my comments too seriously PeeBee. The BBC online make the same mistake nearly always. For example this type of headline. TURKEY EARTHQUAKE KILLS HUNDREDS. Correctly this should be written. AN EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY KILLS HUNDREDS or TURKISH EARTHQUAKE KILLS HUNDREDS; I love the English lang...

Another yeast to consider is available from BrewLab.
I sent them a sample that I recovered from a bottle of 1985 Courage Russian Imperial Stout.

I just brewed a bitter and double milled the grains. Instead of the expected 1.036 I got 1.040. The same grainbill with a single run through the mill last time got 1.035.
If I remember correctly you have a Schmidling malt mill. What is the gap between the rollers ?
