Re: Bit of advice needed
i managed to do it even with a plastic euro fermenter. Used barb for blow off out of the top, when cold crashing connect co2 source to the barb and put about 1-2psi of pressure on. do the same to transfer to keg

Re: Bit of advice needed
Avoid oxygen at all costs. I don't know what fermenters etc you used but if you can add co2 when coldcrashing and closed transfer to keg I found that helps a lot

I'd imagine keeping filling and draining the hlt to cool the wort may be quite inefficient with the amount of water you would use ?

Re: Home brew kit
Get a lager yeast and a way to ferment at low temps (temp controlled fridge)
I seem to remember a lot of kits come with ale yeast and probably won't give you the flavour your after

Re: Brite Tank Cooling with Maxi 110
I use a maxi cooler for fermentation
I'm crude so just use an inkbird to switch the whole unit on/off I'd say you may find it difficult to keep it a 2 degrees depending on ambient temp tbh

Kw to boil 100 litres
I know there's probably a lot of factors to consider, but is it possible to get 100l to the boil with 2x 3kw elements ?

Re: Brewing Red Wine
ive made good white and red from kits. reds you need to leave a good 6 months before there good to drink but whites are good nearly straight away
a decent kit will set you back 1.50-2 a bottle

Re: Converting my BIAB recipes to Grainfather
I found my grainfather got around 80% efficiency so I'd just adjust grainbill for whatever efficiency you got from your biab

Re: Grainfather counter flow chiller options
There really go chillers tbh. I fitted cam locks to mind when I had a grainfather so there's no reason to not use it in another system !
I've seen other cfcs for sale in America probably for a comparable price
