Re: Grainfather connect - new control unit
Yeah, Vito's Brewmaniac is great. I've got my own customised fork of his codebase and have brewed successfully using it. As you mention, he's currently adding WiFi comms and ditching the BT. His plan is to keep the main code on Arduino and add an ESP8266 for the Wifi aspects. I have a plan to drop t...

Re: The overlooked secondary FV?
I still use a secondary FV*, lets me rack off from the yeast/trub and give the beer time to clear prior to transferring to a cornie.

Re: Modifying Buffalo boiler to work with gas burner?

Re: Am I infected?
If that just pops up after 3 weeks then it's a bacterial infection.
Not necessarily a tip away job though! The infection may be limited to the surface so drain the beer away from the bottom up. Don't include the top bit
Taste what you capture and decide !

Re: Brewbuilder dispatch info
My last few orders have seen the order complete EMail arrive on Day 1, courier tracking EMail on day 2 stating a delivery date of day 3. (assuming all are working days).
So I don't think you'll be getting the delivery today.

Use a 45W tubular heater in my under counter sized fridge and it's plenty sufficient.

It's a great beer for hop heads and you can taste the Citra dry hops.

I use one because I ferment in a converted fridge and IMO fridges are bug havens.
