Hi Davide
Some of the guys in my club have bought ace all in one brewing system but are not too happy with the brew controller, might be a nice retro fit for smartpid
https://www.ebay.ie/itm/271687277467
It's basically a cheaper grainfather

Re: Grainfather Connical Fermentor
yes. there are 4 separate cool ports out of the glycol unit, the fermenter has the temp control unit, so if you have 4 fermenters you can dial in 4 different temps

Re: Yeast recommendation
I like us05 dried or wlp001 on my pales and IPA as they are very clean. also yeast bay Vermont ale yeast is very good in hop forward beers, the yeast adds citrus notes.

Re: Grainfather Connical Fermentor
I have seen the fermenter and chiller in the flesh and they are top grade. The bonus for me is that The glycol chiller can be used on 4 fermenters. You should get a salifert test kit for alkalinity and calcium, very easy to do and you can adjust you water, it's very easy and very well explained in this post.

Re: Show Us Yer Kit
I have one of those thermopots. How did you fit the top inlet through the skin. Can you post some more images and show how it all works? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I used a step bit and a qmax to drill the inlet. I started with a pilot hole from outside skin to inside, used the step bit on th...

Re: Storage in Cornie
Your main worry is oxygen in the keg and this will spoil your beer, it will be stale.
You could transfer and batch prime in the keg, this will carbonate and condition your beer. When serving you will have to chuck the first couple of pints

Re: 4 week turnaround - conditioning & priming
Conditioning and carbonation can happen at the same time, so the first option providing primary finishes in a week. Do not attempt bottle conditioning unless primary is complete or u run the risk of bottle bombs. Try a Blonde ale recipe with a very clean yeast us05 or mangrove jacks m54. M54 is a be...

Re: belgian dubbel yeast recomendations
I use wy1214 Belgian abbey and was very happy with the result, supposed to be Chimay as far as know.
I also got an all grain kit that came with t58 dried yeast, but for the Belgians you are better off with liquid
