I tried to find them on aliexpress as i have had the larger ones before and have couplers etc.
I know malt miller stocked them at one point but obviously didn’t do to well with them

9l corny or 10l growler keg
I’m going to do a few mini batch’s but would like to stick to force carbing in a keg. Does anyone have any preferences/pros and cons to the above options ? I’ve used sankes in the past but 10l ones aren’t readily available

Re: Ordered a Brewie! Have any good recepies?
I think having to knock off £1000 really says something. I’m surprised they haven’t got any left as they weren’t going quickly even at the lower price !
I bet they took a big hit on them

Tsp does the job. As said dish cleaner works but needs thorough rinse to make sure all the residue is off

Think I have a 10% off code and some points to use at beer hawk so may be worth a go !f00b4r wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 9:45 amYou could just make a smaller coil chiller, although they are available off the shelf too.

Re: Small batch chilling
I’ve read into no chill cubes etc. But part of the point of doing small batches is recipe testing before brewing a bigger batch. I think scaling recipe will be more difficult due to bitterness etc when switching systems

Small batch chilling
Thinking of doing some small 10l batch’s and was wondering if anyone had any techniques for chilling without extra equipment etc.
Was thinking just putting in an ice bath but not sure how effective it would be

Re: Force Carbination
The set and forget method take a lot longer than a few hours, probably more like a week !
If you sure theirs no leak from the keg you could try the rolling method for a bit longer just be careful not to overcarb

Re: Stockpots as fermenters?
They don't seal but yes they would do the job. Personally I'd go for a sealed fermenter but plenty of people don't. You would probably find that gas would escape from around the lid so no need for an airlock

Re: Ordered a Grainfather!
Great kit. Has limitations like all one pot systems but you'll make consistently good beer
