Thanks Unclejoshua ive only been on the drinking side of the bar and am a total dispensing newbie :) DUH!!! my reasoning was based on not having a spare corny or pressure bottle to feed cleaner up the line... BUT as i just realised,i will have an empty keg that needs cleaning when it runs out of bee...

What I don't quite get is if a whisky barrel is too hard to clean for the first fermentation, why is it any different for aging - my point ism the yeast are still alive, won't the bad bacteria 'take over' so that when I come to do the secondary I won't get any fizz? good question, had me pondering ...
