Re: #24 Pale Ale (Dry hopped)

Thanks for sharing, enjoy these posts where you see others processes etc. Have to admit I have not looked back since moving to one pot brewing. I must admit i do enjoy the one pot brewing. Although i do miss my 3 vessel setup, apart from the cleaning and carrying it all down from the loft that is. ...

Re: US05

Excuse my ignorance, but haven't come across Vermont dried yeast before; manufacturer would help track it down to try please. The only place I have seen doing is here . I have tried it which worked fine. For the price of it though I prefer to just buy the liquid and culture from that but appreciate...

Re: Big keg little keg.

I really like my 9L keg. I have some smaller 4L & 2L growlers with dispensing parts but the 9L is the winner.

Re: serving bright beer from a cornie

I have a similar set up for a few of my cornie's using one of these attached to the gas tube which is more or less the same setup. The tubing is the perfect length. I love it for beers I want to dry hop or be clear ASAP.

It was on here a couple of years back that highlighted it to me.

Re: Demise of Hop and Grape

I bought some wine equipment recently from them (online), what I did notice was alot of items were out of stock which is sometimes a sign.

Re: Geterbrewed delivery

I use the maltmiller as much as I possibly can and always for malt knowing it has been freshly crushed the day of dispatch. I do use Brewuk for some equipment and any yeast that MM does not stock. I also got my BM from here. The 2 day delivery period and the use of Parcelforce does put me off to an ...

Re: Help - plug issues 20l braumeister

Are you definitely using a 13A fused plug with it? I use one with mine on an extension fully unwound with no issue.

Re: Pressurised growlers and 5l mini kegs

For a keg transfer I mean transferring from a normal keg was the beer has carbonated and is bright if thats your thing. So really you need an existing keg set up as this would be purely as a serving keg. You then just add your disconnects with some beer tubing to each keg and transfer from one keg t...

Re: Pressurised growlers and 5l mini kegs

fwiw i rarely condition with pressure above 20psi, but i dont mind it taking a week or longer.. imho your probably better off filling the growlers from a keg, one downside of kegging directly into smaller pressurised containers is the accumulation of losses due to initial dirty pours flushing out t...

Re: Pressurised growlers and 5l mini kegs

haha, I love my full kegs and 9L but sometimes when just wanting a few pints and not running back and forth from the garage I like to have multiple portable options :D . I only pressurise to serving temps. What I tend to do is transfer across and then when serving attach the mini reg (sodastream co2...

Re: Pressurised growlers and 5l mini kegs

I have a 2L one and a 4L one I got from the Brewbuilder. The 2L one I just use as a growler where I fill it up , flush with co2 and drink it that night or within a few days max. The 4L one is taller and slimmer. I close transfer to this using the pressure fittings and serve using a flow control tap ...

Re: Brewbrite

I use this to great effect but you will still need to use gelatin or similar post fermentation to drop the yeast out. Brewbrite helps avoid haze, especially chill haze but different finings will be needed depending on the yeast used, if you dry hop heavily etc and want it done fast.
