Flare/Swivel Hose Barbs

Hi all, I'm changing up my gas line for something a bit more flexible - I would like to use 1/4" flare fittings to connect to the corney and then a 1/4" hose barb to connect up to my line. I see that the Malt Miller has some SS flare fittings but they have 3/8" barbs which might be too big for my ho...

Re: Brewbuilder FO/not FO Hop Filter

I’m thinking the same re element removal, but it is extra hassle all the same. I’m just weighing up that vs how much do I need the filter...I would gain a bit of beer but mainly use pellets anyway and Im not sure the filter is built for pellets?? Perhaps I can use the filter cash on some other eleme...

Brewbuilder FO/not FO Hop Filter

Hi all,

Just wondered has anyone got the 3kw elements and are using one of the BrewBuilder hop filters (either the FO one or the non FO one)?

I'm just thinking about getting the filter in and out after each brew with my 3kw getting in the way.

Thanks for any comments

My beer gun is great, did 60 bottles for a wedding last year. Cold is good, longer length of pipe good too

Ah that’s a perfect answer thanks for that mate. Actually going to re-purpose the HLT as a new boiler now

Re: Campden Tablets

Just as an aside I got my plumber to fit an external hot tap which makes it much easier to go from boiler to mash tun in my brew shed. Its also great for cleanup

Campden Tablets

Hi all, I'm thinking of not using my HLT anymore and instead using hotwater directly from my combi boiler, I have a RIMS so getting up to temp is not a problem - the only potential downside I can think of is some of the water treatment I usually carry out is in the HLT and all will now need to be do...
