Re: Home-grown-father ??? Burco to Grainfather conversion??
I have built a diy braumeister and a diy grainffather as aamcle says, the hardest thing is to get the malt pipe sorted. Getting top and bottom filters, overflow pipe and a grain basket, keeping the basket off the element, holes in the end of malt pipe etc etc. there can be a lot of fluffing around g...

Re: Very slow sparge/stuck mash on Grainfather
Add oat or rice hulls to your mash, it will help especially if using wheat, oats. Check the crush size is not too fine

Re: Stuck mash
If you are milling your own grain check the crush , also get some oat husks it will help I have a similar setup and was getting stuck mash as my crush size was too fine for my system. I now find that a crush if 1.1mm works good for me Thanks for the suggestion. I get my grain pre-crushed so I don’t...

Einbrew 1V1P Brew Controller
Yep it is a hefty price but if you saw the build quality and components you might think otherwise. This is a complete controller, plug and play, brewpiless is a diy job and not suitable for all brewers and is also a fermentation controller last time I built one. I haven’t seen smartpid but it’s the ...

Re: Einbrew 1V1P Brew Controller
great review, I have one to do, but have been mental busy , might just get a chance tomorrow , or friday What I really liked about the system is there isn’t much of a learing curve. Setting mash steps and hop additions is really easy and quick, just give the instructions a read before you use it th...

Einbrew 1V1P Brew Controller
I recently signed up to test and review the 1V1P brew controller from Einbrew. I have been brewing for over 3 years on all electric brewing systems. I started off with a plastic bucket BIAB system. I love BIAB mainly for is simplicity and ability to turn around a brew day in a short amount of time b...

Re: Crossmyloof Brewery Dry Yeast
Yeah, I am getting good results will lellemand yeasts, I use Munich classic for my heffewizens, abbey for Belgian and I just used their diamond lager in a German pills, it’s still fermenting but the samples are really good.
Again, if u like banana in you heffes under pitch with Munich classic

Re: Crossmyloof Brewery Dry Yeast
I am just finishing my keg of Patersbier brewed with this CML yeast and I am most impressed. Fermented quite warm and the yeast has really shone through. Re: Crossmyloof Brewery Dry Yeast
I got bubblegum and spice from the CML Belgian yeast, in a Patersbier. Produced a delicious beer, definitely one I'd consider using again. Not too bad attenuation either, at about 80% apparent. Actually sticks to the bottle nicely when pouring too. Patersbier.jpg Will pick up a few packs and give i...

Re: Einbrew 3V2P - First Brewday
Did a German Pilsner on the 1v1p last weekend, it’s very impressive. I have a 2 vessell rims system similar to the breweasy setup, this is similar to biab, full volume brewing.
I also have an ardbir which I thought was the dogs, but the 1v1p is easier to use.
I have a review coming shortly
