Heh, sorry I didn't realise how the manufacturer of the keg king / kegland products was interrelated, at least
at one point in time.
Just had a read of one of the HBT threads about keg king / kegland.

Re: Ultratap Flow Control Twist
I thought the Nukatap was the successor to the Intertap, made by Keg Land?
I started using the flow control intertaps which I've been happy with though.

Re: TILT troubles!
I've just been looking at the tilt pro website: Specific Gravity resolution: 0.00001 - which seems impressive It doesn't seem to give a figure for accuracy though, that I could find. PeeBee or anyone else whose got one, would you possibly mind listing some of the chip part no's? I'm curious what gyr...

That looks awesome, love the photos
Is that coal you're using?
I assume there was no lake nearby either you could place it in?
I'd like to try the hot rocks brewing method some time, I'm not sure how safe that is though heh.

Yeah those kind of pipe cutters work great. Much better than using a knife which I used to do.

Re: ITC-308 troubles!
Thanks for the reply. What might be interesting if I monitored the actual compressor coming on, via power usage, which would spot spikes I guess. Have you heard of this - https://www.fermentrack.com/ I was mentioned that recently, which sounds interesting. I'm just looking at these kind of things at...

Re: ITC-308 troubles!
What are the main issues out of interest? I just had a look at your link, I've never had mine rapidly cycle the fridge that I've noticed. I think I use around a 5 min compressor delay and 0.5C for heating/cooling values. I've used the fridge at a range of temps from 20C with a heater, to -1.5C with ...

Re: High FG
Just a random idea, if the water source changed, which could alter mash pH etc., that could alter mash efficiency, and therefore the FG couldn't it?

Re: Mild
Yeah, we picked up our pin from the brewery itself and had a nice little tour of the brewery too. That's a good question if they oak other beers too. The Junction pub is mentioned in a book I've got 'The Beer Bucket List' and does sound very neat! I'm reading this book at the moment 'Wood & Beer: A ...

Re: Mild
I hadn't realised there was an oak version of the samuel smith's bitter, gonna have to look out for that! I'm not sure if theakston's are still doing it, but you used to be able to get an oak pin of old peculier at christmas. We had one a few years ago, which had lots of vanilla in! I really want to...

Re: Fermenters rated/compared
McMullan, that sounds cool re. naturally carbing and pressure transfer. At some point I'd like to do something like that.
I bought one of the kegland spunding valves a while ago, I need to play with.

Re: Fermenters rated/compared
I don't think I saw 'closed transfers' mentioned as one of the advantages of certain SS fermenters. (I don't think I've seen any plastic ones you can do that with?)

Re: Fermenters rated/compared
I believe Samuel Smith's use slate for their Yorkshire squares. However others like Theakston's use stainless steel squares. And black sheep has round ones interestingly.

As far as I understand they're just two different modes of powering the same chip https://learn.openenergymonitor.org/electricity-monitoring/temperature/DS18B20-temperature-sensing lists 2 schematics, powering in either normal mode or parasite mode I've only ever used normal mode Edit: I just found ...
