go the extra mile and get yourself a Spiedel Braumeister. its a fantastic bit of kit. mind you in all fairness every system will make good beer if you are a decent brewer.

Why not get a cheap Tesco kettle and strip the element out of it or better still why noit use the kettle. get a copper coil fitted inside it and run it off a PID controller

Get some Almond Essence and Vanilla Essence from the supermarket and experiment. Cheap ingredients. you will get the Amaretto flavour no bother.

Ive got the book as well. Made many recipoes as per it and never been dissappointed. I toitally agree with Normski on this. Anyone thinking of brewing the recipes in this book do not hesitate.

Hi THM Flatten one of your piping and fiull it with salt. keep tapping to make sure the pipe is full of salt flatten the other end. It bends a treat without any kinks. when finished cot off flattened ends and empty salt out. patience is the secret but you will end up with a kink free chiller. regard...

Thats a revelation there. I always tend to sparge at about 78c - 80c and I am really interested in your comments here. I will always bow to experience. Do you advocate sparge tempos. of 72c for all mashes. any comments really appreciated.
