What brand are you using. I tend to use mainly Brupaks never noticed any extra.

False bottom problem

Ive had a false bottem made for my burco. There is a slight gap between the edge and the side of the boiler, about 3-4 mm. I thought this would be ok but the majority of the hops have ended up under the grill. Any ideas how I can seal it. I thought of trying to make a rubber washer. Where can I buy ...

Just used hops of the same date [see my free hops post]. They were Brupaks sealed packets and they looked and smelt fine, and the beers very good.

I seem to remember it was a very bland beer. I think they stoped brewing it after CAMRA gave it such bad publicity.
