I've used S-04 before for this recipe. I've just found a recipe on BrewSmith that uses WLP007 as an alternative.
I wonder if they'd say "ok" if I just wandered in on my way past and said "Can I have some of your yeast?"

Re: heating elements
Actually, depending on how many you want (I'm going to be after a couple for my boiler and one for my HLT) it may be marginally cheaper to get them from here: http://www.thebrewshop.com/contents/en-uk/d75.html

Re: heating elements
That looks pretty good to me. I've not found anywhere cheaper for that style element.

Re: Thermo pot 70ltc
Emails exchanged, credit card flexed (even if I did have to chase it around the room first), order placed.
Two "standard" pots and a thermopot, delivered, for fractionally under the price of one of each from the UK.

Re: Thermo pot 70ltc
Prices now received. It's going to cost me a little more though, as I now have to Fedex them back their arm.

Looks good. I've had no response to my email so far this morning, but I'll give them a few days.

Re: Thermo pot 70ltc
That sounds simple enough. I shall send them an email to ask for prices before they change their minds again

Re: Thermo pot 70ltc
I just emailed them and have successfully agreed and paid for another 50 litre pot. Non insulated but 55 euros including courier costs is sweet as.They even had all my old details from last time on system- took 5 minutes! Email to catering-portal@bergland24.de ? I assume their command of English is...

Re: Thermo pot 70ltc
I read somewhere (perhaps even here, but if so I can't find the thread) that they'd stopped shipping overseas because of the number of returns. It's very tempting though. I've been planning to move to a three-vessel system, replacing my existing kit an item at a time to keep costs down, but at their...

Re: New brewshed build
It is, but I think there's only going to be one ring and two radials so there should be plenty of space around them. Given that it's a potentially damp environment and that I might be hefting large stockpots around I don't really want them completely exposed so trunking seems like the best compromis...

Re: New brewshed build
I now have most of the walls lined. Certainly enough to allow the cabling to be done. The cables are going to be in trunking fixed to the walls as the load de-rating for cables inside insulated walls is quite hefty. And it does mean that if I find I've forgotten something later it's just a question ...
