Gives an apricot fruitiness. Planning using on a DIPA next week. I'll update the results if anyone'...

Re: Gluten Free Beer

Can you elaborate any further as to the recipe adjustments that you were referring to?

Crystal will give you residual sweetness and some enhanced mouthfeel and depending on the colour that you are using, varying degrees of toffee flavour.

Re: Ron Pattinson 1933 Kidd AK

I am interested to know if you have access to the 6-Row malt or will you be trying a substitute? Cheers 6 row was widely used along with 2 row in different proportions, and it maybe as Eric has stated, but it also supposedly contributed a "graininess" to the beer, something you can get with using f...

Re: Bullion Brown Ale

Looks like a good brew. =D> I haven't used Bullion hops in a few years but I do remember the great black currant flavour, a nice change from grapefruit etc.

Columbus is one of my favourites, I find that it pairs well with Summit.

Re: DIY beer engine

Hi, I'm looking to create some kind cask setup. Until now I've bottled and also used keykegs (along with an incredibly expensive dispense hire). I'm planning on getting either something like a King Keg, or a plastic pin (e.g. from http://www.breweryplastics.biz/). I really don't want to limit mysel...

Re: Turbo Cider

You would be better served with something that is 100% juice. I believe that this "apple drink" is 40%.

Re: chocholate chipotle stout?

I believe that you will want to short brew this one a touch in order to achieve the higher alcohol percentage (6.5)
I would recommend adding some cocoa powder to the kit in order to get a more chocolate flavour, the nibs are quite subtle.

Then you could always let it naturally carbonate in the keg with some priming sugar, which is what I generally do.

I do this already...
Well that's sorted then
