Re: Level marks etched into boil Pot
Alternatively for the faint hearted, buy a sight glass kit from HomeBrew Builder, someone to drill two holes and Bob's your doo dah! You will of course pay more but I find filling my pots is a lot easier to monitor this way, as you can see the sight glass from wherever you are whilst brewing. I was...

Re: Gas Leaks!
Mine came from brewuk back in December and for one reason and another, I've only just got around to playing with it, so I don't know what luck I would have now with any after sales service. MB Hi MB, If it's a manufacturing defect I would have thought you would have reasonable grounds for a replace...

Re: Gas Leaks!
Spear looks good to me. The square 'tabs' should give you a better seal. The way you describe the keg coupler turning once engaged is the exact problem I had. Only thing I can advise is get on ebay and buy a standard s type coupler (without pressure release) then test it with that. http://www.ebay....

Re: Haden vs Peco Elements - owner experiences
My previous Peco element after a year of use, eight brews. I purchased 3 of these when I went all grain 5 years ago. They all went the same way. Been using the same Haden elements for four years trouble free. :) http://www.heatingelementcompany.co.uk/default.asp?Product=293 Thanks for the feedback ...

Re: Essex C02 bottles
Any Essex Brewers struggling to get hold of food grade CO2 I notice adams gas.co.uk supply for home bar use. Website lists stockists local to you. West Thurrock seems to be the only Essex stockist. For north Essex there is a stockist near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk which may be closer depending where ...

Hi Stefan,
Might be worth extending your search area to Suffolk/ Ipswich area as you are only half hour or so away from there. Cheers John

Re: Keg coupler check valve
Mine appears to have a tiny slit( easy to miss ) at the bottom of it which I assume allows gas movement but not beer in the other direction.

Re: CO2 Supplier
Beverage gases supplied to the drinks industry come in various mixes of CO2/ nitrogen depending on what is being dispensed. . I was led to believe the industrial grade CO2 was not as pure and may cause undesirable side effects due to the impurities.
