Re: Crossmyloof Brewery Dry Yeast
Belle saison is a French saison like 3711, I find i get more citrus notes. For Belgian saison try safbrew be134, nice Belgian character with spice notes I took your advice on thia and pitched 2 packets of be134 into 33litres @ 1059. Pitched at 23c and let it warm to 26c. It's at 1005 after just 48h...

Re: Wen's Lunch (Patersbier) AG BIAB #8
Just tasted a Belgian single I brewed a while back using lellemand Abbey. I have to say that I am very impressed with this dried yeast and it reminds me of wy3787. It is a beast, fermented very quickly and flows out very clear. Plenty of Belgian taste and aroma. I previously used t-58 and was very d...

Re: Lager in a corny
If u have Beersmith it will calculate the amount of priming sugar for you. I always batch prime in the keg as it is easier for me to get sugar than co2. From experience u don’t need to chop the dip tube. The first pint will be cloudy with sediment. I also use a spunding valve on the keg to ensure I ...

Re: Grain Mill
Some of the reasons I crush my own malt. 1. Freshness, it does make a difference imo. 2. Uncrushed grain will store longer than crushed 3. Consistency., I had different results from different home brew stores. Efficiency and numbers can be dialed in better when mill your own. 4. Mill grain to suite ...

Re: Brewing Software Recommendations
I love beersmith mobile and mostly use this for creating and adjusting receipes and also as wolfenrock said, it is handy on brewdays with the timers and other tools etc.
Desktop is more advanced and I tweak receipes and the new water tool is really good also

Be interested to see how this turns out with dried yeast.
Going for a triple tomorrow and using lellemand abbay.
Would love to find a good Belgian dry yeast strain that comes somewhat close to liquid

Re: Belle Saison yeast and Mandarin Bavaria hops
Sounds good, haven’t used MB hops yet but looking at the hop profile it should deliver what you require. U could also add a good quality orange essence near the end of primary. I did do a very nice saison with Belle and Citra. Very dry and refreshing summer beer 5.4 abv https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn....

Re: Fermenting a fruit wheat beer
If you don’t want cloves or banana etc go with us05 yeast or some other neutral yeast and ferment at 19 degrees.
